Guitar is a musical instrument, stung with gut strings having a body with a flat back graceful in incur varions, etc and for playing, it is twangled by fingers. The construction of the instrument is important.

The back and ribs of the guitar are comprised of maple ash and cherry wood, frequently inlaid with rose wood, mother of pearl, tortoise – shell, etc. The sound board is of pine and has one large ornamental rose sound hole. The strings are fastened to the bridge made of elony with an ivory nut which determines one end of the vibrating springs while the nut at the end of the finger board determines one end of the vibrating strings while the nut at the end of a finger board determines the other. The neck and finger board are made of hard wood such as elony, beech or pear. The head contains two parallel barrels or long holes through which the pegs or metals screws pass, three on each side of the head.

The modern Guitar has six strings, three of gut and three of silk covered with silver wire. They are divided into two groups viz Bass and Treble. The Bass strings are thicker and have an inner nylon core with steel wrapped around then. The Trebles are clear nylon and thinner. The thumb finger will more often twang the Treble strings than the Bass strings.

The Guitars are of two types. They are Acoustic Guitars and Electric Guitars. Acoustic Guitars are of old type and are played with hand. Electric Guitar players have to study their pick ups, amplifiers, chord lengths, impedance problems, effects devices, amplifying and miking techniques and types of tubes and speaker.

Many famous companies produce Guitars of both the above types. There are many Guitar centers which teach playing Guitar. There are also online lessons given by websites. They teach Guitar tabs (i.e.) tablature set of notations for listening and playing, bass tablature Guitar chords, ultimate Guitar chords, etc. Some of the websites give even free lessons online.
