Left hand guitar players have problems due to non availability of left handed guitars. So the left handed people who are interested to learn guitar playing have to stuggle playing with right hand. Many of them have had to give up playing guitar and this is a universal problem in all the countries.

The left handed people are a minority when compared to right handed people. Due to this fact, the manufacturing companies do not come forward to manufacture left handed guitars. However a very few left handed persons have managed to play guitars with right hand and have become great guitarists.

A few guitar manufacturing companies have started manufacturing left handed instruments on a small scale but the cost of the same is prohibitive and also the waiting time is frustrating.

Surveys show that 10% of the people world over are left handed. There are over 600 million left handed people now. This is double the number of 1990. It is estimated that by 2020, the number will swell to one billion. But the manufacture of left handed guitars is not commensurate with the increase in left handed population. Hence the problem continues.
